Boating in Canada

There are some new rules for entering Canada. I was just made aware that USPS National has issued a correction to our ABC3 course.  Under the old rules, American Boaters did not need to check into Canadian Customs if they just transited Canadian waters without stopping, anchoring or touching land.  This has changed.  Private boaters that enter Canadian waters must contact Canadian Customs.  Even if you are just transiting Canadian waters because it's the shortest distance between two points.  You must contact Canadian Customs.  I would not know this, if I didn't teach the course.  We should try to get the word out to as many people as possible, because I imagine there are many people that don't understand these new rules.
