Freighter Stuck

Even if you were naughty this year, you probably did not receive a lump of coal from Santa.  That could be because a barge out of Cleveland and bound for the North Pole got stuck in the Detroit River on Christmas Eve.  The barge was fully loaded with coal for Santa to distribute to all the naughty boys and girls.  In all seriousness, the freighter was out of Cleveland and bound for a power plant in Detroit.  It took seven tugs to finally get the barge free.  Many of the tugs were dispatched from Cleveland after the Christmas holiday, to assist with the effort.  Looking out the window today, it's hard to believe there is that much activity on the lake.  I am sure the NTSB will investigate and determine the cause of the grounding.  Regardless of their findings, I will always believe it was the naughty boys and girls trying to prevent Santa from delivering their lump of coal.
